REMINDER:

Dear Valued Customer:

As part of the T-Mobile build to advance their network, they are retiring the 3G UMTS network as of July 1, 2022.

We encourage you to take timely action to address your impacted devices as described below.

• Voice Capable:
Device (whether the voice functionality is used or not):
When the 3G (UMTS) network is retired, if your end users have a voice-capable device that is not LTE and Voice over LTE (VoLTE) capable, including VoLTE 911 capable, service (voice and data may be unavailable. If such device is 2G-capable, then service may be available in limited areas serviced by a 2G-capable tower, but in all other areas, and where the device is not 2G-capable, service will be unavailable. You will need to upgrade or replace the device to ensure continued service.

• Data-Only Devices:
Data-only devices will need to be LTE capable to continue getting services in the ordinary course, and devices that rely on 3G technology only must be upgraded or replaced. When the 3G (UMTS) network is retired, 3G devices that are 2G (GSM) fallback capable will default to 2G.

When T-Mobile begins to retire the T-Mobile 3G (UMTS) network, you will continue to be billed for service until both the 3G and 2G networks are fully out of service or you proactively deactivate your end users.

T-Mobile will not provide any additional notice or information regarding where or when components of the 3G network will be retired, or which end users may be impacted. The user experience of 2G (GSM) fall back will differ and end users should expect reduced quality of service.

We understand the importance of being able to plan for this change, and we are committed to keeping you informed with up-to-date information. We encourage you to contact your account rep or send email to support@aeris.net should you have any questions.
